a Glasgow elopement

This summer two sweeties hopped on a plane from Switzerland to get married in Glasgow's West End, with no one but us as their witnesses. We spent a beautiful couple of hours with them, photographing their preparations, witnessing (and maybe crying a little during) their ceremony and then strolling through Kelvingrove Park.

I'm utterly enamoured - not only with the very beautiful images, but mostly with the wonderful sense of freedom and true love that this wedding just for two so clearly illustrates...

i love the idea of an elopement. a wedding is such a sweet, sacred thing, meant to be enjoyed and cherished by the two people who have chosen to spend their lives bound with each other. i don't think anyone loses much by not having a larger, semi-public ceremony.

everything is lovely lovely lovely.
