C&M {A London Wedding}

This blog post may look slightly different from usual, in that there are few pictures of the bride, groom or guests face-on. This is something that C&M specifically requested, not everyone wants their face or their wedding splashed all over the internet and we are okay with that. To people outside the wedding industry this may not sound like a big deal, but within the industry it's not uncommon to hear that it isn't worth photographing weddings if you are going to be restricted in how you use the photographs. We would just like to say: Nonsense. (actually what I would like to say is more strongly worded but Nye won't let me swear on the blog - Cara) We will always respect the privacy of our couples and their weddings and strive to remember that the reason we photograph weddings is to capture beautiful, intimate and emotional images for our clients, not purely to expand our portfolio. Okay, let's commence....

C&M got married this summer at 30 St Mary Axe (aka The Gherkin) and travelled by Routemaster bus to the Union Club in Soho where the celebrated with friends and family from around the world. It was an amazing day to be a part of, C&M are the sweetest, calmest couple and it was a day filled with grace and style and elegance, as well as a significant amount of fun.

30 St Mary Axe is a spectacular venue with literally breathtaking views across London. It was really hard not to spend an unprofessional amount of time just staring out of the windows at this wedding! And the Union Club in Soho is a really fun, quirky reception venue, its downstairs bar red and cosy and atmospheric, its upstairs dining room warm and glittering and reminiscent of a classic Parisian salon. Come evening time guests crowded the dance floor as the Wedding Smashers took to the decks and as we left to go home it looked like an amazing party was just getting under way. Katherine Courtney who were the coordinators on the day, I hope we will see them again soon!

And on a final note, it was an absolute delight to work with

These are beautiful. Even though it's quite a tease not seeing the couple face on it's actually quite interesting to see the wedding from this perspective. Excellent work. I bet the couple are delighted with their photographs. :)
